Mini Plaster Sculpture experiments - Continued
Adding more to the small plaster sculpture experiments. I gathered containers over the past week from ready-made meals I would eat, and I managed to get containers that vary in shape and size.

I did the same technique before, where I let the plaster set into the containers.
My idea for these mini sculptures was to chip them all down to look like rocks or a more worn natural form. After the plaster had set, I found that all the little ridges were seen, and I felt that it made an exciting effect without manipulating it further. So I kept some of the shapes without chipping them down.

After the first set of mini sculpture plaster experiments, I felt that shaping them became very time-consuming. The shapes were unique for this set of sculptures, so I didn't feel the need to change them.

The next step is to do the same pouring technique with acrylics as before. I will be playing with different colour combinations through this.

Crochet on painting - Continued
I did the same crochet technique as the smaller experiments but on a larger scale as this painting is A3 sized. The painting is a flat board, so the nails that I used to hang the yarn were also nailing onto the wall. This piece is flat, and I thought it was perfect for adding a net of yarn. Even from the nails, it gives the piece an elevated look when you look from the sides.
I enjoyed creating these pieces, and I think they both work very well with each other. I enjoyed working differently regarding the different layers of art media to make the outcome. Still, I decided to focus more on plaster with paintings as I want to create texture without it being removed or changed. The yarn pieces from the experiments can easily be switched out to create a different outcome each time. I am continuing with plaster as it is a media that I have never used before; therefore, I want to understand it more.
